The Bad News

The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of God’s standard (Romans 3:23), and that if you have broken one of God’s commandments, you are guilty of breaking them all (James 2:10 ).

As a righteous and holy Judge, God has no other choice but to judge the sin that is in us. This means that all people are doomed to spend eternity separated from God, which is also called Hell. This creates an urgent question within all sinners: what are we to do?

God, in His infinite love for all mankind, has provided a solution for our spiritual dilemma. John 3:16 says that God sent His son, Jesus, to die for our sins. All we have to do is accept that sacrifice, ask God to forgive us, and walk in an intimate and personal relationship with Him. That, my friends, is the Good News of Jesus Christ.

If you would like to have a personal relationship with your Creator, it is as simple as saying a prayer like the following:

“Heavenly Father, I realize that I have sinned against you. I know I don’t deserve your love and forgiveness. I thank you that Jesus came to die on the cross for my sins. I accept that sacrifice and ask you to forgive me of my sins. Wash me clean, Most Holy Father. I commit my life to you. I don’t want to live my life for myself. I want to live my life for you. Please help me to tell others about your amazing grace and abounding love. Thank you, Dear God. In Jesus name I pray, Amen.”
